BEFORE CARE

WHAT IS BEFORE CARE?

Before care is all about preparing your skin so it’s in its best possible condition before your appointment. When your skin is well-prepped, it can receive pigment more effectively, heal smoothly, and achieve beautiful long-lasting results.

BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT

• Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours prior to your appointment.

• Do not consume alcohol, recreational drugs, or caffeine within 48 hours of your treatment. (Prescribed medications are fine, please follow your doctor’s advice.)

• Avoid supplements or medications that thin the blood or increase blood pressure for at least 1 week prior to your appointment. This includes fish oil, Omega-3, magnesium, aspirin, niacin, and Vitamin E.

• Do not take anti-inflammatory medications such as aspirin or ibuprofen for at least 24 hours before your procedure, as these can increase bleeding and affect pigment retention.

• Avoid abrasive or intensive skin treatments (such as laser or dermabrasion) for 4 weeks prior to your appointment.

• Discontinue the use of skincare products containing Retin-A, Retinol, AHAs, alpha hydroxy acids, or other exfoliating acids for 2 weeks before your treatment.

• Do not attend your appointment with sunburned skin. Please avoid excessive sun exposure for at least 4 weeks prior.

• On the day of your appointment, ensure you are well rested, hydrated, and have eaten beforehand.

• It’s also recommended to avoid scheduling strenuous or stressful activities immediately after your treatment.

• Please allow sufficient time for your appointment in case your procedure runs longer than expected.

SPECIFICALLY FOR OMBRÉ BROWS

• For Ombré Brow appointments, please avoid any brow hair removal (waxing, threading, tweezing) or tinting within 1 week prior to your treatment.

• Do not receive Botox or anti-wrinkle injections to the upper face within 4 weeks of your appointment, as this can affect brow positioning and final results.

SPECIFICALLY FOR LIP TINTS

• Apply Bepanthen (Nappy Rash ointment) 2–5 times daily for 2 weeks leading up to your appointment. This helps keep the lips well-conditioned and supports optimal pigment implantation and healed results.

• Increase your water intake in the week prior to your appointment to ensure your lips are well hydrated.

• If you experience a cold sore within 6 weeks of your appointment, you will need to reschedule and wait until the area has completely healed before proceeding.

• Avoid teeth whitening treatments for at least 2 weeks prior to your appointment.

• Do not have lip filler within 4 weeks of your lip tattoo appointment to allow the area to fully settle before treatment.

Frequently asked questions

Why Lip Tint?

Lip Tint is my go to technique because it gives the most flattering, versatile results. Whether you want super natural blush like finish or something a little bolder.

Modern, soft and totally customisable to suit you. Best of all? They work beautifully for all ages and skin types.

I personally love that it evens out your lip tone and gives you a lovely permanent tint.

Why Ombré Brows?

Ombré Brows are my go to technique because they give the most flattering, versatile results. Whether you want super natural tint-like finish or something a little bolder.

They’re modern, soft and totally customisable to suit you. Best of all? They work beautifully for all ages and skin types. It’s no wonder Ombré is the most up-to-date technique around, it’s basically the Beyoncé of brows

But wait… what about microblading?

Let’s just say - it had its moment.

Microblading uses tiny cuts to mimic hair strokes, which can look great at first… but often fade patchy, blur over time or just don’t hold well, especially on oily or mature skin.

Ombré Brows, on the other hand, are all about soft, shaded perfection. No harsh lines, less trauma to the skin, and way better long-term results. They heal beautifully, fade evenly, and give you that effortless “I woke up like this” look for years.

How long does it take?

I book out upto 4 hours for each appointment. Most take around 3, but I like to keep things chill and not rushed. Perfection takes time, and I’m not about rushing you out the door with half completed brows.

Great cosmetic tattooing is all about soft, buildable layers. If you’re after that dreamy, natural look, we’re going to take the time to do it properly! And trust me it’s worth every minute.

Will I Need a Touch Up?

Permanent makeup works by creating tiny punctures in the skin, similar to skin needling to implant pigment just below the surface. Because your body sees this pigment as something foreign, it naturally works to push some of it out during the healing process.

As a result, some fading or patchiness is completely normal after your initial treatment. A touch up appointment allows me to reintroduce pigment where needed, fine tune the shape, and enhance overall definition. After this session, your results are usually perfected as long lasting.

Ombré Brow clients don’t need a touch up - My technique provides beautiful results the first time. But if your skin heals unevenly or you’d like your brows a bit bolder, touch up is always an option.

What if I don’t like them or they’re too dark?

Don’t worry - you’re always in control.

Before we start tattooing, I carefully map and draw your custom shape so you can see exactly how your brows will look. We don’t begin until you absolutely love it.

The tattooing process is done soft, buildable layers. You’ll see the progress as we go and can choose to keep things subtle or go bolder. It’s completely up to you.

It’s not a “one and done” treatment; it’s a step-by-step collaboration. Most clients walk out saying “I don’t know why I was so nervous!”

Do you have a payment plan?

Absolutely!

Afterpay is available in-store and online so you can get your cosmetic tattooing now and split your payments into easy instalments.

Just make sure your Afterpay account is up and running before your appointment.

Will I still need to wax my brows?

Short answer: Yup! Your brow hairs didn’t get the memo about your new tattoo!

While your days of tinting, henna and brow pencils are officially over (hallelujah!), thos little strays will pop up now and then. But the good news is with your new tattoo as a perfect guide, keeping them tidy is so much easier.

No more over-waxing, uneven arches. You’ve got the ultimate brow blueprint, maintenance just got way less stressful

What’s a Refresh Appointment?

Think of it as a little glow-up

While your Ombré Brows + Lips can last 3-5 years (sometimes even longer!), things like skin type, skincare, and your daily glam routine can cause the pigment to slowly fade over time. Totally normal!

A refresh appointment is your chance to top things up, boost the colour, and keep everything looking crisp and fabulous. Most clients pop in every 1-3 years.

Kind of like a beauty pit stop to stay looking your best.

Why does it cost more than other places?

Because you’re not getting budget brows - you’re getting brow artistry.

Sure you might see cheape roptions out there… but with permanent makeup, you definitely get what you pay for. I allow upto 4 hours for each appointment (yep, double what most artist offer), because flawless brows aren’t a rush job.

This is your face - not a flash deal.

I use only the highest quality pigments and tools (no dodgy shortcuts here), and I take the time to get everything perfect. From custom shaping to soft, layered shading, its a tailored experience with long-lasting, natural results.

Cheap brows might look OK for a month… then fade weird, blur out, or leave you wishing you’d just waited and invested in the right artist.

So if you are wondering why my prices are higher - that’s why. Quality, time, care, and the kind of results that make strangers compliment you in cafes.
